Crepes at Crepeworks

Crepes at Crepeworks

In March 2002, we at Crepeworks launched our first location at West Edmonton Mall, Phase One. After exceptional responses and customer loyalty, management opened a second location in West Edmonton Mall – Phase Three food court in July 2005 and Market Mall in Calgary in July 2008. Crepeworks franchise site criteria consists of an area of 250 to 500 square feet within the food court of a prominent commercial building, shopping centre or strip mall locations, thereby being readily accessible to many thousand pedestrians daily.

There is significant potential in the Canadian marketplace for new fast food kiosk brand name to emerge. Such new entries into the marketplace would gain rapid acceptance so long as they provide consumers with quality and affordable priced food items, particularly if those food items represented innovative, perhaps even “exotic” food categories. One such opportunity involves a new and innovative style of crepe, sold within a fast food kiosk.

Until now, traditional style crepes have been available in restaurant settings, with our innovative concept, we are now poised for the North American marketplace catering to two different clientele focus groups. Those clients who seek a meal be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The other focus being those clients who seek a light snack or dessert. At Crepeworks, our concept efficiency, our ability to cater to two different customer groups, and our sales focus of one specific brand of cuisine maintains sales volume stability.

In recent years, the North American fast food industry has become increasingly more competitive. The principal source for this competition is the ever changing habits of the dynamic fast food consumer. A decline in market share had largely affected restaurants that fry and deep-fry as their main method of preparation, whose longstanding customers have become dissatisfied. This shift in market trend can be attributed to consumers eager to enjoy healthy alternatives to fried foods, but require fast service within a clean and friendly atmosphere.

New fast food styles based on pita bread, tortillas, croissants and other materials, contend with more traditionally held fast food preparations. The newest and most exciting addition to the healthy trend in fast food is the crepe. A new twist on the traditional crepe fills the gap in the North American market that remains from the large chains that dominate the industry.

What People Are Saying:

Never been disappointed. Have only tried the dessert crepes, but they are so big I have to share with my husband. Not cheap on ingredients either. No complaints! - K. Mckort
Yummmm. Love it here whether its a dessert crepe or its a light lunch with a salad for me. I like to watch them make my crepe and put it together. Everything has always tasted fresh and good. - Allaria.
Had the strawberry (number 10 I believe) with whip cream crepe. I've found that all of the crepes are ALWAYS cooked through and loaded with fillings. Love going here! Last time I got a banana and chocolate crepe, it was super good too. - Bee
I love food that is made to order and Crepeworks is perfect for food on the go. I had the Chicken Cesar Crepe that had a fair bit of chicken, fresh crisp vegetables, and a tasty Caesar dressing. This crepe was light but didn't leave me hungry, so I would recommend trying one if you're looking for a quick bite when on the run. - Robert
